A própria Maria disse “Todas as gerações me proclamarão feliz.” E Elisabete, prima de Maria, disse que ela era “abençoada . . . entre as mulheres”. De fato, para Maria foi um privilégio maravilhoso ter sido escolhida para dar à luz o Messias. — Lucas 142, 48, 49. No entanto, Maria não é a única mulher a quem as Escrituras chamam de abençoada. Por causa dos atos que Jael realizou em prol da antiga nação de Israel, ela também foi considerada como tendo sido “abençoada entre as mulheres”.
